Contraindications
The listed contraindications may prevent you from having your treatment. If you have an appointment scheduled, notify Custom Beauty immediately if you have any of the following:
Medical Conditions & Medications

Pregnant or breast-feeding mothers cannot have treatment

Diabetic clients cannot have this treatment performed

If you are using acne medication including Accutane, you must wait 6-12 months and doctors written approval is required

If you have a bleeding disorder such as, Von Willebrand’s disease, anemia or hemophilia, you are not suitable for treatment

If you are taking prescription blood thinners, you are not suitable for treatment unless your doctor gives you permission to come off them for treatment. Do not stop taking any medication without your doctors consent.

If you are currently or have recently had chemotherapy, you must wait 6-12 month and doctors written consent is required.

If you have any heart concerns or conditions, you are not suitable for treatment

If you have an active cold sore, lip blush treatment cannot be performed. If you have a history of this virus, you may have a break out after treatment so it is advised to consult with your doctor about taking an anti-viral medication prior to treatment.
Skin Conditions, Treatments & Lifestyle

Anti-wrinkle injections around the treatment area must allow a minimum of 2 week before and after your cosmetic tattoo

Fillers in the treatment area must allow a minimum of 4 weeks before and after your cosmetic tattoo. If you plan on having lip filler paired with your lip blush treatment, we recommend doing your filler first.

No eyebrow lamination. Eyebrows must be in their natural state.

Chemical peels – Ensure you stay away from any chemical peels 4 weeks pre and post treatment.

Acne – If you are currently dealing with acne, treatment is not recommended as we cannot work through pimples and pustules.

Moles – If you have a mole on the treatment area, we will not work through it but we can work around it.

Keloid scars – If you have a history of keloid scarring, cosmetic tattooing is not for you

Sun burnt skin will not be treated

AHA skin care must be avoided 2 weeks pre and post treatment

Previous cosmetic tattoo – If you have had a cosmetic tattoo in the past, a consultation is required prior to scheduling treatment. Failing to notify us of this will result in a loss of deposit if you are not suitable on the day.

Oily skin – Microblading is not ideal for clients with oily skin. We recommend our shading technique to avoid blurred and unnatural strokes over time. Microblading through oily skin may also result in colour changes. Schedule a consultation if you would like to discuss this further.

Smokers – If you are a smoker, you will need to stop smoking for a minimum of 1 week post lip blush treatment. If this is not possible, this treatment is not for you

Active eczema or psoriasis in the treatment area cannot be worked on
